I don't have my TF2 yet(taking a full week to get to the east coast) but sent an email to J Holmes asking for a motor recommendation. He suggested the 35t as a good motor for this kit.

I run 35T's on 3S in all my trail rigs, and have one bolted in my yet-unfinished TF. I did bomb it around in the livingroom a bit and it seemed about perfect . Good balance of speed and torque with nice low end control.

i have a budget holmes 35t on 3s and its just about right. i initially tried a novak goat 3s with the 18.5 crawler motor. it was maybe a little quicker but not crazy. |

I am using a 35T as well and it's a good fit! Low gear is a bit slower than walking speed and the high gear is fast enough to get all 4 tires to spin in the dirt. |
