Default rear shocks hit the u bolts

i installed u bolts on the tf2 and up front they are great but in the rear the shocks hit the nut to the u bolts and bind up the suspension. i need to move the lower shock mount to the top of the axle or on the inside of the leaf spring i was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue?

any advise will be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to just put a spacer on the shock shaft end and leave it on the bottom of the axle. Check out 1BJB's thread, he did it. Also I think there was another thread on this with a few other fixes.

rc4wd sells some, your local hobby shop, rpp, horizon. i myself like to get my stuff from my local hobby shop
they just got me a bunch of spacers ranging from 1mm to 6mm.

here are a couple i found. you can also make your own i use a hobby miter box to make mine
that way it comes out even and the right length. the hobby miter box is small so i clamp the alum or delrin tube in it then
use the x-acto saw to cut it.

good luck

You can also use a rodend ball also for a spacer. I'm gonna use a fast eddy aluminum spacer

After spending a crap load on my TF2 I didn't have any money left for nice spacers so I just used some metal ball-ends form an old Tamiy kit and some long screws. I used four in total and still used the kit spacers in the same locations.

It will do for now.

I love those spacers the ballends they just plane work and the best part "free" awesome

I have had the spacer kit forever and i keep recycling the spacers put them on one rig then don't need them on another and i just keep putting them back in the box. The box is cool It's like a tiny fishing tackle box it has sections for the different size spacers anyways

Hope this is helping the tf2 community
