Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 I love your colour scheme mate. Looks even better when it gets dirty. |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 Thanks for the compliments! New tires will be here later this week so I'll be installing my lift shackles tonight or tomorrow depending on this big rain storm :) also started work on a new bed cage/rack for my gear and surfboard. |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 Nice work on that surfboard. |

Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 very nice Toz...always like seeing what you do with these rigs... did not know those mirrors were flexible....I lost one of my flexies...have to replace it and like that style.. |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 Still have some trimming to do. New Bumper, tires and shackles are installed. http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/IMG_0954.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/IMG_0952.jpg |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 Well, we're all ready for tomorrow afternoon down at the beach... Did a bit of trimming, added the shackles, tires and bumper. Spooled the winch up with some dyneema and installed the 4mm wheel hexes. http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/IMG_0966.jpg |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 do you have a link to where you got that bumper"thumbsup" |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 Scale Bumper | Scale bumper Hilux ARB | RCmodelex - specialized for RC rock crawling, trial and expeditions The bumper is from RCmodelex and it's made to fit the tamiya Hilux. I built a custom mount to run it on the TF2. Here are some better detailed pics of the mount on my last TF2. http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...709_214934.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...709_215058.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...zrovr/a6-2.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...zrovr/a7-2.jpg |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 i found it thanks one ordered dont think i can build that mount though;-) |

Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 dont have a way to weld or braze |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 You could do something without the RCmodelex brackets. Just use some small angle steel or aluminium on each side and a few holes. Once you have it in hand it will seem much easier. |
Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 Is the 1:1 rig in the first post your truck? I have a pic request if it would be possible. "thumbsup" |

Re: '83 Toyota 4x4 SR5 Went out today in Kittery Point...Josh broke out the leaf blower and cleared a big section of sectioned granite. Even with the HUGE Baja Claws there were some sections that would have loved 2.2's. had a few rolls and lots of trail-side pinstriping. I ended my day a bit early after my servo horn went on permanent vacation. http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/.../woodsy/16.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/woodsy/6.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/woodsy/5.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/.../woodsy/13.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/woodsy/4.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/woodsy/8.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/woodsy/2.jpg http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...5/woodsy/3.jpg |
