Default just purchased the tf2 kit with the mohave body set

I literally just purchased the kit yesterday but havent received it yet.

on rc4wd website its advertised that it comes with the leaf spring suspension but on the tower hobbies site it indicates that it comes with the traingulated 4 link rear and the 3 link front with pan hard bar.. anyone know if this is false advertisement or do the new kits come linked?

heres the link where i purchased it

Just bought mine from tower hobbies last week. It has leafs. The ad says g2 comes with the link suspension. That shouldn't be in the description for the tf2.

I never trust towers descriptions. Per rc4wd site borh the kit and rtr tf2 are leaf spring trucks. The gelande 2 comes stock with the link setup. I bet all you get from tower is a "sorry for the typo, we will correct the description soon"

Towers info is crossed with the gelande 2 so brace yourself. You will get a leaf spring truck, with v1 yota axles, and silver internal spring scale shocks.

The gelande 2 had the links, yota 2s, and dual spring shocks.

looks like the only difference between the gelande 2 and the tf2 are the suspension components. ill probably end up just sending the damn thing back for the gelande and buying the hilux body.

I suggest you do a lil more homework........the suspension isn't the only difference between the G2 and TF2.

The wheel base on the Gelande II is shorter than the TF-2 also, the Hilux body will look funny on that chassis unless you extend the rear links. And if I remember right, you will have to get the body mounts for the TF-2 as well.

Don't trust descriptions on ANY retail website. Even RPP screws that up sometimes. You wanna know what you're buying? Research it on the company website first. That goes for anything you buy. No excuse for not doing this unless you're a child.

As for G2 and TF2 having the same chassis, not even close. Only thing they have in common is... Absolutely nothing at all.

If you want a linked Hilux then your best bet is the TF2 and the link kits. Going with the G2 would be more work than its worth imo.

Don't count out the TF2 until you actually drive it. Mine has amazed me on multiple occasions. I even made a line once that a Wraith with Pit bulls couldn't follow.

And the more you drive it the better it will perform over time and in turn it will make you perform/drive better as well.

This.

The TF2 is a great little kit. For SCALE driving. It is not meant to perform like a linked truck. That said, with a little tinkering, you'd be surprised at what it's capable of.
