| Digital's TF2 Build
Just finished with the main assembly of my new TF2 Mojave Kit. Paint is next and getting this suspension dialed in of course. I'm going to start out with two leaf's in the front and the rear, just finished the o-ring mod. Going to run the G2 hoops and pickup some 90mm shocks for the front. Thanks to all those helpful peeps here on RCC! Last edited by Digital; 01-15-2018 at 10:02 PM. |

Removed the O-Ring mod last night and grinded out the Chino mod on all the leafs. Hopefully I get some painting time in on the body this weekend. And shortly after posting this picture, I just realized that I didn't remove any material on the underside of the leaf's. Looks like I'll be taking them off and grinding some more...I like to learn the hard way. doh Last edited by Digital; 01-19-2018 at 10:33 AM. |

| Re: Digital's TF2 Build Hey Neilus, I replaced the factory screws that hold the leafs in the hangers/shackles with some 14mm screws and sleved them in wire tubing. I think the idea is to allow more flex while minimizing the slop from using skinnier screws.

Finished up this weekend, I gotta say that was one of the more challenging kits I've completed but this thing is very fun to drive. It doesn't articulate well at all compared to my other crawlers but I think that's whats fun about it...I have to really plan where I'm steering it and it looks way cooler than anything else I've had. Too much work into this thing, don't think I'd ever sell it. lol Last edited by Digital; 01-22-2018 at 12:54 PM. |

What do you guys recommend for tire upgrades for the TF2? The stock 1.5's looks small to me, can I go 1.9 without body mods?

Hey Teng, I'll look into 1.7s and see what my options are thanks for the idea. I discovered that the front shackles were hitting the front of the body so I cut it off. I can actually get the front to articulate now, imagine that. |

Put the BowHouse RC Rear Leaf Shackle Mounts on tonight. Good to see that Pro-Line still makes high quality shocks, I really like these Scalers...green slime & 30wt seems about right.. Wheels and tires should be here tomorrow, gotta love that RPP Hobby shipping speed. I'll eat that CA tax for their service. Let's get weird, added this little buddy in the back. I'm super happy with the way it turned out! XVD's are a must for this truck. Turning is where it should be now, super fun truck once you throw some upgrades at it. I guess thats the case for most rigs anyhoo |
