Default Yoga 2 axles - More steering angle?

The Yota 2s on the Marlin, do they have more steering angle capability than the yota 1s with xvds or are they the same?.

Thanks.

I have modified two V1 housings with great results. Takes some work.
VP parts
Parts to do the F-Toy.

F-Toy axle in front of other modified axle on my TF2 build.

Looking good mate "thumbs".

I did look at putting some wraith / xr10 bits on an axle a few years back but decided i couldn't be arsed!... Still have some bits to convert an original scx10 axle somewhere..

Having noticed an obvious link to this info on another thread here are the details from another post with regards to benefits of yota2 over yota1:

Default Axle Comparison: Yota 1 vs Yota 2
Have had several questions on the differences between these two axles.

Here are some of the differences that I have come up with:

Smaller OD tubes
Removable diff covers
More detailed third member piece

Front axle:

Case is one piece
8* knuckles
Knuckles have two sets of arms so BTA steering is possible
Larger/stronger XVD with 45* steering (Yota 1 is 35*)

Rear axle:

Two shock mount options

45 degrees sounds awesome!!!!

There's my steering mod!!!

Wraith/XR bits won't work.. well, they will... They will make the wheel offset way too wide..
Scx is how you keep the right width of the body and axle.

Thanks man.

To be honest having now looked more and more into it i have found that whilst one could get more steering you would have to widen the track either of the axle or using wider hexes ( which cause other body clearance issues) in order to benefit from it.

My regular tf2 with xvds ( so far been ok) can touch the leafs. The Marlin i just got has the next gen axles with xvds which has more angle capability which i'll exploit a bit more using slightly different offset wheels / hexes...

Very new to comps but loving this platform and have had good results

It's definitely a fine line and tight spot to mod in. Lots of factors!

The reason I went with the mod, was my xvds lasted, maybe, 5 minutes. The first one blew apart and the truck went back on the shelf.
Which lead me to do more and more work, on it.
Results speak for themselves. Loads of pics in my build thread.
