The first prototype run is going to be 25 sets. I allready have testers chosen for these, but they don't even know it.

Once they are approved the first production run is going to be 500 sets, which should last for a week or so.

Thats awesome, I'll be needing at least one set, as many a 4 sets, depending on what order I get on! I don't want to hog up the initial order if I get in on it!

i dont think there is a straight axle cvd, then it would just be a straight shaft with no cvd joint, thus loosing the cvd part of it. it would be nice though to see a solid axle since 4ws isnt allowed in 2.2 class, as well as look better than whatever method of steering lock out.

I would like to be on the list of the first batch as well, that is if you plan to do that.

Thanks for getting with MIP to have them help design a stronger axle for the TLT.

this is great! No more snapping the ends off the axle or breaking the stub axle cup. Having both parts fail is bad. CVD's is where it's at for any RC. Crawlers have needed these for a long time. Now we all need to run a servo with robot servo travel (i.e. 5995 Hitec) so we can get the full throw from the CVD joint.

too cool. can't wait!

how far does the shaft stick out of the end of the steering knuckle. it is kinda tight witht the adapters and axial wheels to the steering. are you going to make any wideners for these i have to lathe my own for the wheels i got. may be they could make the stub shaft three quaters of a inch longer so you could use the adapters and widen the wheels.

Now that I finally broke a axle, I can not wait for these to be released! Any idea if they will be out by April?

Yeah April is probably a very good estimate. As soon as I know more I'll post it. Jason and I will be visiting MIP on Wednesday.

3/4" longer, is this to be threaded for that entire length, allowing us to trim them if we want to keep the stock width? Or will they be a wider axle by default, with no way to change it?
