The G-Train is gearing up for a good old fashion treasure hunt in Ocala, Florida. Are you ready for adventure? Maybe a little "danger"? How bout the thrill of finding treasure? The G-Crew is and with Rivas Concepts RC Page on board to document the Silver Springs Treasure Hunt RECON G6, G6'ers are sure to end up on his film reel. Lets get started, shall we...

...Back in 1539 a Spanish explorer by the name of Hernando De Soto began his march up the Florida peninsula. He carried with him one of the largest Spanish treasures to ever leave Spain. Hernando came across several indian towns, but it wasn't until he stumbled upon the infamous pirate camp of Capt. Newred that Hernando's travels ended abruptly. Historians have gathered several pieces to the puzzle, but just how Capt. Newred was able to take the Spanish Treasure and hide it so well that no one has found it to this day, is baffling. Modern day Divers have found nothing at the bottom of Silver Springs. Treasure hunters have dug up the banks of the Silver River with no luck. Skeptics mock those that know this treasure is real in the minds of the believers despite the Moultrie Creek Curse that is said to be the reason that this treasure has not been found.

No G6'er has ever looked for this treasure and everyone knows that adventure flows through the veins of every driver who challenges their driving ability and their G-Ride / scaler's capability in a RECON G6.

G6 Classes

- 1.9 Adventurist - All 1.9 or 1.55 wheeled G-Rides / scalers. ie. SCX-10 or Twin Hammers or 6x6's.
- 2.2 Adventurist - All 2.2 wheeled G-Rides / scalers. Wraiths or Wronchos or 6x6's.
- G6 Team - Two drivers sharing one G-Ride / scaler. ie. Husband & wife or your best friend who doesn't have a scaler yet.

RECON Terra-X Classes

- 1.9 G-Ride
- 2.2 G-Ride
- PRO-V
- Go Phast (Exo, SC 4x4 or 4x2) These classes may be seperated depending on number of entries.


G-Fees

RECON G6 - All Classes $25. 15 & under, $15. Teams is $10 per driver. $5 for an additional class.

RECON Terra-X - All Classes $20. Each additional class $5.


Treasure Hunt G6 Requirements

- A tow strap is Mandatory.
- 5 scale items are mandatory.
- 5 scale treasure hunting items are not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- a scale metal detector not mandatory, but highly recommended and will be counted separate from the other 5 treasure hunting items.
- Driving Stage 1 in pirate attire is not mandatory, but highly recommended.
- a winch is not mandatory, but highly recommended.


Silver Springs Treasure Hunt Stage Intel


- 0900hrs Driver Check in.
- 1030hrs Drivers Meeting / National Anthem
- Two Stages of RECON G6 adventure.
- Stage 1 - Day Stage; 200 - 300 Trail Markers w/ driver & driving challenges.
- Stage 2 - Night Stage; 100-200 Trail Markers w/ more challenges.


RECON Terra-X Race Intel

- Sunday, April 28th.
- 0800hrs driver check in.
- 0900hrs driver meeting / National Anthem.
- Two Heats. 6 mins / 8 mins depending on classes.
- One Main. 12 / 16 mins depending on classes.
- 20 mins between first round of heats / 30 mins +/- between last heat and main.

Im sure all you Fla. peeps heard from Sean today, but I was at the g6 in nor cal yesterday and Parker is pretty excited about putting on a fun event for you guys next weekend you guys want to complain about driving a few hours to get there parker is driving from reno nv and is leaving tomorrow or he already left if you are the ones that don't go........ you will have to listen to how much fun it was for a whole year. You do NOT want to be that guy I spent about 8 hours in the car yesterday, grenaded my steering servo and destroyed the bottom trans gear............which I have never had happen before and just 20' from the finnish line with less than 2' of rock to get past and took a DNF and would do it again today

No complaints from me i took off two days of work and will be camping there both nights! I only have an 1 1/2hour drive definitely not as bad as parker!
