My RS10 is on the way and I have Rover whites with foams on the way also. Do I need to glue the tires since it has beadlocks or are these fake. Is there any type of starting point that I can use to start with wheel weights. And are the venom creeper or Ax10 (bent link) stage 2 kits compatable with these? I dont like the height of the body and want it lower. http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...oducts_id=1641 or http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...roducts_id=575 Got another question. Is there anyway to disable the annoying sound the controller makes without opening it up and snipping the wires to the speaker. Last edited by house_Fly; 12-16-2009 at 12:35 AM. |

Did the humming stop for those of you that did motor swaps? If so what's causing it with the stock motors or just what's causing it in general? Is there a fix available? | |

What noise are you guys talking about? The only noises I can think of are the beeping the radio makes when you press buttons, the hum of the fan on the ESC, and the slight sound the motors make. The radio beeping is probably fixable...but to my knowledge the other 2 aren't. I never really hear the fan on the ESC, but my cobalt motors are a lot louder than the stock motors. I don't mind the motors though.

If you watch my video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F_FzaCmc10 you will here the constant whine when the throttle is applied and how annoying it can get. Maybe they don't all do it. I don't know, but mine is quite loud.:?

ohhh yeah. That noise...mine makes that a little bit, but my motors are on the loud side so it kinda drowns it out. I have no idea how to get rid of it, though.

Quick mod update! The CKRC high steering knuckles are awesome and help a ton for ground clearance alot, but to make if work right you need to order the Venom Creeper steering linkage kit to get the long link to clar the center of the diff housing. or bend a custom tie link.It moves the links up by almost a 1/4" and seem to not get hung up on anything anymore. Everything including bearings work in them. It also allows more steering angle which helps ALOT!!! Theres one more somewhat cheap upgrade that figured out to make the RS10 better and more durable!! Heres the links to what I have, Steering link set, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWJJ9&P=7 CKRC Knuckles http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/ind...oducts_id=2379 |

will the stock esc handle a 7.4v 2 cell lipo stick pack like a 1/10 stadium style truck uses? I see some use a smaller lipo. I don't understand the difference between the two when they are both 7.4v. Maybe the bigger battery delivers more current?
