Two words, Awe Some! If I may? Why are your rear shocks axle mounted and not the front? Please forgive my noobness. |

The rear shocks were easy to axle mount since there was no chance of interference with the tires but the fronts I kept on the links to try to keep some of my turning radius without rubbing too bad. Unfortunately having the shocks on top of the front bent links caused some crazy reactions with how it would react. It would lift and lower like crazy and was very unpredictable so I changed the front links recently to delrin straight links and used some longer shocks and mounted them to the axles and now it works much better and still has a lot of belly clearance. Now all I have to do is locktite the rod end on to the shock since the tire rubs against the shock rod and unscrews it from the rod end . A little embarrassing in the middle of a comp. |

Thanks. I'm glad I asked. I've been learning a bunch of term's and tricks since I got my crawler a couple weeks ago. I'm getting pretty hooked on this crawler thing. I have fast rc's, but I find the custom build aspect of rc crawlers fascinating. Also I am finding the learning curve of overcomming challenges and obstacles to be very rewarding. Thanks again. |
