Nah, I never did have the same problem when I was running the stock radio, but the stock radio is kind of confusing with it's setup since it doesn't come with a manual or anything explaining it. Before your reverse stopped working...did you change anything on the radio?

just for the bare minimum, you can get an outcry esc from rc4wd for around 50 bux, and options on 2.4 ghz radios ar limitless, i got a 2 channel skyfly for 30 bux, but if you want a dig now or in the future then your gonna need a 3 channel with a three postion switch if you want to go this way, then you best bet would be the spektrum dx3r, but its fairly costly, around 300 bux, but the dx3e is much cheaper and a good radio i speak from experience i had one, about 100 bux.. just check around man, any questions just ask... |

I say go for the flysky fs-gt3b radio since someone on the forum has figured out how to hack it to add some dig functionality. The radio is $35 shipped from hobbypartz, and his hack kit is $25 shipped. This is assuming you don't mind cracking a new radio apart and do a little soldering. It's one of the better values and is a great radio. radio: http://www.hobbypartz.com/79p-gt3b-carradio-lcd.html hack thread: GT3B Hack Question and Answer Thread |

On a budget: DX3E, DX3C, or GT3B with LOSIKID's hack should all treat you well for your 2.2. These all have the 3pos switch allowing you to run dig if you decide.

| With that radio, it does have 4ws possibility now. You do, however, have to mod the radio with losikid's hack and it's not really gonna be a plug and play application. You have to do a slight bit of work for 4ws. It's a great radio, though.

I use a RC4WD XR4 Tx/Rx. It is a 4 channel unit with 3 position switches on channels 3 & 4. I used it on my super and now on my RS10 XT. It allows 4WS and Dig. There is no EPA on channels 3 and 4, but I have found this to be no big deal. There is proportional adjusting and you can run up to 15 rigs on this one Tx. It was just under $100 shipped to my door. Simple to use and so far durable/dependable. I found the stock Tx/Rx to be junk, plain and simple. I will sell you mine (new) for $10. Smitty |
