Good luck finding a decent 380/390 sized motor these days. They're very few and far between for an actual good one, unless you want to shell out about $80 for a pair of Holmes Hobbies 454's. 540's are easily found, but if you don't want to go that way you could always invest in some 3s lipos. They will put a little pep into your rig.

yea the 454 are cashy but a little cheaper and less headache it sounds than the 540 swap plus decent 540 motors. off the top of ur head are 3s safe for stock esc? youve prob answered this on another thread but still lookn. also, is holmes hobbies 454 special order? dont know to much but they have been out of stock for a while. other thraeds sound like this guy is very busy but a great motor builder. willin to wait if they need to be special order. thanks for u helpn a noob. |

| Re: need a quality replacement motor Holmes Hobbies / Holmes Bikes :: Motors :: Brushed :: Cobalt Puller 454 That's a link for the 454's. I've never had a need for 540's since I was able to source my cobalts before they were out of stock everywhere. As far as 3s lipo on the stock electronics...it's been covered a ton on here. The stock ESC isn't rated for it, but it can handle 3s. Be sure to buy a 3s lipo cutoff or alarm. As long as you have a cutoff and go into it knowing that there's a chance you could damage the ESC by using more voltage than it's rated for, I doubt you'll be disappointed. |
