Default Limitations of the Lansu

Risky business experimenting with higher voltages on electronic speed controllers.

I and a few others have "cooked" our Lansu's to find these, and report. So that YOU might know better . This pertains especially with going to the higher power of Lipo batteries. Lansu claimes to only be good to 9volts. but many have pushed them much further.

Here's a quick reference sheet on what the Lansu can dish out;

Dual 70t 390's, on 2S lipo -

Dual 70t 390's, on 3S lipo -

Dual Banebots, on 3S lipo - ? Edit-

Dual cobalt pullers, on 3S - ?

Dual 35t 540's, on 2S lipo -

Dual 55t 540's, on 3S lipo -

Dual 45t 540's, on 3S lipo - Smokin baby

Single 45t 540, on 3S lipo -

Single 35t 540, on 3S lipo - ?

Single 27t 540, on 3S lipo - Smokin Baby

Anyone want to fill in the blanks? Post some more combos! Who else has toasted lansus?

I bring this up because I was hoping to try dual esc's running dual 35t's on 3S lipo. I aquired a second lansu esc to do this.

However, I was given a vintage futaba FX10 buggy, with the mechanical speed controller, and a 27t motor. I got bored, saw my new-in-package lansu esc sitting on the bench, and through it in. It sure ripped on my 2s packs. And then, out came the 3S pack.

POOF!

followed by a high speed, airborne collision into a hard imovable object, My tennants car door.

So much for that experiment.

Dual Banebots, on 3S lipo -

Ran it for a few weeks before I ripped the wire out of the motor by the roots.

Thanks smitty. Those banebots sound like a lot of fun on 3s.
