First of all, very nice rig!

Second, I'm curious. Why buy a RTR rig then completely rebuild it with all aftermarket parts? Why not just buy the parts list you want and build a full custom rig from the start? You'll likely end up a smidge cheaper.

So I think after owning any rig for 7months and finding flaws or just areas of improvement it should be upgraded. Unless the owner is satisfied with the performance they get out the box. To achieve a goal objectives have to be meet. Also the pro was my first crawler...I have since purchased a trx4(stock) and Gen7(slightly modified) sport. How stock is your rig?

Also to be honest I felt learning about crawler rigs first could be beneficial towards a build. I have a scratch build coming up. A Chevy dually pickup

A more in detail
*Driveshafts purely cosmetic plastic worked fine
*New axles are portals clear benefit of that
*Who uses stock electronics now idk but typically not me.
*Metal servo horn(a must)
* Shocks better quality and better springs(pro shocks are good)
*Metal bumpers(Redcat doesn't make)
*Panhard(just to try)
*All metal gears with hexical pinion&spur(for strength)
*New tires,rims and foams(I wanted 2.2)
*Lift kit(more shock adjustability)
*Body modified (personal taste)

OK. Some relevance helps there. I thought you just bought a RTR and immediately replaced everything. I've seen a lot of people doing that with the Gen7.

I run my RTR rigs until something breaks and replace it with an upgrade part. I continue to do that but have never gotten to the point that there was nothing stick on the rig.

On the flip side, I'm on a custom build now where nothing is simply stock. On this one, I'm just ordering whatever "upgrade" parts I want to run on it from the very beginning.

Like I said, just curious.

No problem just thought I should give better details. Didn't mean to post back to back. I'm at work so I'm was trying to quick post. So yes I understand what your saying but no it took 7 months to get all mods applied. Just upgraded or replaced broken parts

Are you doing a build thread on your custom rig?

I'm going too. I'm still trying to figure out what chassis to use. Doing a dually setup. Right now I'm looking at a scx10 chassis or tf2 lwb

I'm not sure about the tf2, but there are so many options out there for the SCX10 chassis components it would be hard to go another route.
