The body can sometimes get drilled a little off spec. I lowered the body and redrilled the holes. Then the inner fenders line up and the Velcro works great

Yes, mine were too close together and the left front is lower than the right side.

I took a belt sander to the body side inner fenders to try to get some more clearance. In the end I swapped the velcro out for dual lock which raised the body a few mm and sort of made the ill fitting fenders a non issue.

I forget the order but I recall some saying to attach one end and then the other to make getting the body on easier.

Yes, even after switching to magnets, I attach the front first.

yup! mine were off a good bit from being perfect. it would require in an excess of 4-5mm move & redrilling so i didnt bother moving it. instead, since that section is off and sits a little higher, i just used extra magnets stacked to make the difference with a magnet setup. there's a gap, but it's not noticeable:

when i was using velcro, had to attach the front first.

That was probably me... stating mount front first for the velcro.

I've since moved to magnets and redrilled my rear fender location backwards a little. It now fits perfectly. It was off by a few millimeters.

I have had 3 RTR and I only had issues with the first one. I'm going to guess it's not every one. I lowered my body about 3/8" and the only way is to redrill the fender flares up higher. Worked great after that.
