| My trailer build
I'm going to attempt a build of my own trailer. Fist, just to play but secondly to use as a work horse. Carrying rocks or boulders rather around the yard. I haven't figured out how to hitch it yet or mount the tires but I'll update as I go. Bought some angle aluminum. 2 3ft sections of 1/16" x 1/2" x 3/4" and 1 4ft length of 1/2" U shaped for structure. Cut my U shaped structure down to 15" as that's the width I'm going for. Here is a mock up of basic design and size. Straight length is 24" plus the tongue. I think I may but some more U shaped aluminum for more strength but not sure. Any tips or tricks please let me know! Last edited by jrowles91; 07-16-2013 at 06:30 PM. |

Just an update on my trailer. Fitted the tires and axles. Used 90* bent steel and 1/2" steel tubes with 3/8" steel rod inside. Seems to fit together nicely. I'll post up here in a minute how I will mount it to the truck and a video of it working just with a temporary attachment to my Wraith. |
