I would if it wasn't too expensive.

Any idea on how much it would cost?

Cost be damned, in pewter have you thought about the weight? It'll be a ton, unless you use tin foil thick pewter, but then it'll crumple like tin foil.

What would be sweet is if someone made one with a hard plastic Cab/Grill and what ever else. But leave the Fenders, Hood, bed sides, out of Thinner metal. Just enough to dent and rust up some. Then sell replacement panels. Who cares if it's heavier then Lexan. Thats not the point.

Something Like this?

I'm working on making these to attach to a carved-up Pro-line K5 body as an experiment. basically, the lexan body will be a "frame" with all the major body panels (Hood, fenders, rear quarters, roof panel,) mostly cut away (except for at the edges so there's something left to attach the panels to.) and the metal panels attached with shoe-goo, or something similar. That way the panels can still get dented and mangled, but there's still a solid way to mount the body and it won't get completely destroyed in the first rollover like the awesome flatfender Jeep body that one guy did.

This is the first try I did and it's made by hand from the bottom of an embossed pie tin so that's why it's all wrinkly. (I had to flatten the embossments before I could use the aluminum). I just pressed it over the lexan body with my fingers to see if it was even feasible. If I had a flat, straight piece to start with and some tools it would be much easier.

I want to do a set of metal panels for a clod body, too.

I'm trying to figure out a way to make a set of bucks or dies out of fiberglass or wood or something easy to work with so I could just make myself replacements real easy so that if I roll the thing down a 40ft. cliff I'm not out a ton of work.

I desperately need to to hear the crunch of metal and see lots and lots of dents.

EDIT: The panels I'm making or going on a 1.9 TLT-axled build that will hopefully end up looking like THIS:

i would like something like javelin work .. but not so thin ... something more like .... .60 or .40 but in metal plate

someone has to know someone who can work metal like that

btw im gona mail him to get more info

*** ok i mail him and i invite him to join forums .. so he can actually answer to more technical questions you might have ***

cause you know english not my main language so its kinda hard to talk about strenghts weights etc cause for example .. i dont understand pounds only kilos, so it gets kinda tricky

Project True scale test rig

This guy did it. It looks really cool, but not so durable.

Hi I have made an all metal body, out of light alluminum panel, it's an 1/8 scale, if someone is interested in seeing a pic of it, I would have to e-mail them a pic of it, so then they would have to post it on the board for me, also I'm still in the process of finishing the tailgate and the front gril and fenders, for the body is a cj-8 body ibelieve

While that is really cool, I would prefer something with a bit more durability.

If you want something THAT nice you're gonna have to either start carving mahogany bucks and hammering out the parts or your gonna pay someone at LEAST a four-figure number for work like that!!!!!

I'd prefer just the outer body, just the frame...

and of a Bruiser truck (like you mentioned), not a car
