2012 SORCCA rules in effect!

We will be following the 2012 SORCCA rules to a "T" at this event.

More min/max scale points, etc to come.

Man, that would be cool......just don't know if that will work this year. Maybe we can get things figured out this year and do that next year. How many clubs are there in the US that have a serious scale series that would send drivers to a nationals?

I think it will just have to stay as a buy in for 2012....don't want to stir up the pot too much .

This is definetily the direction that we want to go with this, though for this year like Tim said it will be a buy in. It would be very exciting to get a similar set up to that which we have with the USRCCA set up with the scale side of things. Though first things first. Once this comp is setup and all planned then we can address other things, for the future

Great, it's going to get so competitive that it takes all the fun out, just like the pro comp series'.

We here in the Sacramento area are just too hooked on the recon g6 but we have team lerk about 1.5 hours south who started implementing these rules and a few of us have been talking the last couple of days how are we going to prepare for no reverse or winching with scalers But we'll figure it out before the end of Sept

With all the drama around the other AZ club it has been difficult to convince the scale guys that we should implement the scale rules and begin a comp series for fear of taking the fun out of it.
Most of us here started with the comp group and moved on to scale when it wasnt fun anymore.

I am hoping to attend in September, but I'm gonna have to re read the class rules to make sure I'm building within spec.

Hope yopu can make it Brian. The rules should allow almost any rig to fit in some class,that was one of the objectives so that everyone had a place to play and enjoy.

I would like to be able to win an invite to scale nats through our club series, I really thinks it adds meaning to a series other than a trophy and bragging rights
Team LERK has implemented the SORCCA rules to our series and it has really worked out well for us with our club almost doubling in size this year.

James is right we have been running Team L.E.R.K. now for 3 years and this season were a sanctioned scaler club and like stated above we have doubled in size and know we have a lot more people wanting to run the series next season.

We run most of the rules with a few exceptions to the scale points but this well change next season as were going to start class 1 to add with our already popular class 2 and eventually we'll through in class 3 also so this well be a full blown scale series.

I think a lot of people in our club would like a chance to get into an event like this.
