Default California Dreamin'

Hey guys I just got back from a 2 week vacation to Calfornia and of course I had to take my rig along, so when ever I had a chance I shot as much video as I could.

Here's the first video the first stop in Glendive, Montana. I stoped with my girlfriend in the middle of the night and woke up to this, so I went crawling before she got up. Hope you follow along and enjoy the videos as much as I had making them.

Thanks muchly. My FJ's been a rock, I custom built the chassis out of tin and brass tube after buying the CC-01 shell and it rarely lets me down on the trail eventhough she's been bounced down the rocks more than once and live a hard life.

WOW dude, the rig is sweet and the rusty details are great.

I saw video and man that must have been one heck of a good morning.

I had to subscribe to your youtube page so that i won't miss any other videos.

Makes me wish i had taken my rig to Colorado last August.

Great Job!

Thanks you, what I should do is post up the build tread for this rig (it's on a couple of other sites but I'll do an actual full post) and 'll show you how I did the paint as well as the chassis. Part of the rust effect is actual rust I've painted on.

Great Video... Nice FJ!!!

If you had a driver in there it would be hard to tell that it was just an RC.

I think a build post would be excellent especially after you custom built the chassis and added the rust effect.

Also JLOC has a point with getting a driver in that little rig. Its weird but i have more fun crawling around with a little driver than without. I use a tamiya wild willy and attached his head loosely so that it bobs around while rig is crawling.

If you look at the comanche videos I did, I used the wraith interior on the scx10 chassis and got an action figgure in there which looks awesome here's an example.

I am going to retire the FJ though and move on to another project which will have a full interior and if I do another FJ I will start with a more accurate chassis and hopefully an interior would fit better but I have yet to try my hand at styrene construction.

Stop number two on the road trip took us to Old Route 66 and what looked like a pile of dirt on the side of the road, which turned out to be a volcano and lava field it stretched out for a few square miles and once again I could have spent weeks there. I hope you still enjoy this amazing landscape.

That little FJ was rocking that lava field. It looked so cool bouncing around!

The Music was perfect! hahaha, the twilight zone song took me way back!

By the way that action figure looks cool as a pilot!

Back again for the third instalment of the serries. This was our southern most stop and once again the terrain has changed, although I didn't have the time to do as much exploring as I would have liked this spot provided some good fun and I hope you enjoy.

This was a great video to start my morning before heading off to work.

Love that little blue truck man!

Its cool to see same truck in different locations. Feels like the gnome commercials except that gnomes suck and little blue trucks rock!

Nice looking FJ, it looks like it handles really well. What is your wheelbase set at?
