Badass! The color is awesome. The only thing that could make this better is if it had an accurate leaf sprung suspension. Would love to see more carnage photos

I liked it as a 2.2 comp truck but LOVE it as a scaler! The first cut was hard as it was my very first tube chassis but i'm very glad i did it.

I'm honored to have you say that! you're builds are epic!

As far as leafes, no those are on my real scale truck. This is just a comp/beater. The suspension works great as it is. the only thing i'm going to change is getting rid of the upper aluminum link plate and building a tube upper link and shaving the axles. but that's not until later. I need to focus on my true scale rig right now.

Totally dig it! I was a big fan of the old rig, but you I think this one has it on the cool scale.

Man, I hate looking at your work! That's mainly because it makes me want to throw my scalers in the trash because they suck in comparison to the things you build! Just awesome. You must cringe every time a roll-over occurs.

Well i did mine by copying an existing trucks link and shock location, in my case the stock AX10. makes things simple. Then i bend the tubing using a fairly large socket mounted in a vice. finally i tack all my joints with a TIG welder then braze everything when it's all done. I hope that helps.

Vid's are up!

Beauty job, glad you're making use of the body molds you worked so hard on! Now you can keep the original in perfect, polished, shelf-queen glory and beat the living tar out of her slave clones.

Well i've been beating on this truck for a while now and i figured i would post some carnage pics.

Fist is a pic of just how realistic the taillights are. They don't just bust out completely when hit, they also crack nicely when you bang them just a little.

Then I got a little rough on it one particular day on the trail and busted it some more.

I must have a real problem with that side because i eventually knocked it off completely

Then right as i was thinking that i took out the other side!

Actually it wasn't as bad as i thought

after that i caught the drivers side on a rock

and the passenger side

then to finish the day, took a particularly hard lick on the drivers door again.

Time for repairs then more carnage!

I'm so stoked that you're building, destroying, and posting carnage pictures for our enjoyment because if I were the builder, there's no way I could get myself to destroy my work like you are able to do. Please keep it up because I love your posts and pictures.

This particular day i was ruthless!

And here is an overall view after the run

and here it is after a bit of straightening up

That is the nice thing about this truck, i can smash it up all i want then just bend it back into shape after words

Looks freakin awesome! I'd only change the rear link mount and lockout the rear with some straight axle adapters. I do have a ? for ya. How soft is the suspesion with the shocks laid over like that?

Like alot of others have said, WOW. Talk about a scale rig you cant get much more than yours. I have a question about how long does it take you to form a body? And if you already havent posted up a thread on how you do it(forming a body) could you? I did search but came away with no results for metal.
