2012 Spring Offroad Festival in Columbia, SC

Yep...G6 is a scaler event. Skerb can confirm this, but I believe they'll have enough rock and such that you would have fun with your new rig. You'd also get to meet quite a few of the SCRCC club while you're there

This event is organized for scalers but we will have plenty of obstacles for any rig to play on.

There will be comp rigs there (my XR10 for one). I believe he is going to try to setup harder lines for the comp rigs. Either way, it will be fun. Bring your 1:1 also and visit me at the Teeter Totter.

brooks i know that ronnie is goin but I'm not sure if he's bringing the crawler. do you have the rules for the g6 posted anywhere yet? wondering if there is going to be required accessories and if there will be any water involved in the courses? thanks

No accessories required, and if there is water it will be no deeper than an inch.

Scale vehicle requirements:

1. Must be 1/10 scale electric car/truck A tuber chassis allowed for 2.2 class only. No wraith in the 1.9 class.

2. 1.9 or 2.2 wheels and tires ONLY

3 NO rear steer and NO dig. A vehicle may have 4x4 or 2x4 capabilities.

4. One truck for the hole event.

5. The tire that you tech with is the one used for the hole event.



Tentative Rules for the G6

This event is a timed event.

Time Penalties:
Hitting a Boundary Marker (30 sec)
Unrecoverable Roll over (30 sec)

Top Two from each class will run the course again and be judged by fastest time.




It will include:

A cool offcamber dirt uturn with hill climb
a long Z shaped rock garden with ledges
a V-notch that will get narrower and taller as it goes
A sand Pit
Some Log Obstacles similar to TTC

Will you be using a "judges winch" (aka tow strap pulled by the judge)? For anyone without a winch that cant overcome an obsticle.
