Need to brush some sand out of yours? What the heck are you talking about?

I will say that people tend to get burnt out when you make your hobby into a job. I dont think there has been any misappropriation of funds thus far and I'm not sure we need a governing body. But I'm here to have fun so do whatever you think needs to be done.
Need anymore clarification?

Are you sitting there after not coming to the comp yesterday and calling me a vagina?

If you will read my response without your head up your ass you would see that I was saying y'all can do anything you think is needed, but I will not be able to commit to be I a governator position as my time is about to be cut short due to the birth of my first child. I said I hope y'all can work it out and I can continue to come and have fun at comps.

I think he caught your tone wrong. I understood it as care free and just there to build trails, drive scalers and have a good time whether or not there's a "governing" body...

Well, number one, we have women that come to our comps so we need to keep the language appropriate.

Second...I would show up to a group crawl just to have fun! Line em up and let em rip! Points and whatnot is just a technicality that comes into play on a fun day of crawling!

I don't know much about the governing body but Damn I had a great time yesterday and it seemed to be a good environment and pretty well planned out. If we're drawing this good of a crowd then what is really wrong with the way things are ran?

Just an idea........but why not just have a facilitator per location. Like at Hatefulboys place he runs that event. Another location thats closer to someone else they run it. Just have a list of all the locations thats possible to hold an event of such caliber and a facilitator per location. Some could run more than one event if needed/wanted to.

Plus you will get a variety of ideas of how the events are held. Then in about 6 mos you could have a general meeting (for anyone to show up) to reflect on the past events seeing what worked best and move forward making progress and keeping the competitors best interest.

$5 for food is fine and works out great. As far as prizes just do a raffle. You wanna try to win a prize then buy a ticket otherwise those who don't care or don't wanna spend the cash can watch someone else win

Keep it simple and it will be fun!

Just my $2.00 worth (making the opinion worth more does it count for more? )

Like Jeremy said it was awesome yesterday!!!! No complaints here!

This is essentially what we have been doing. As far as the facilitator comment.

I agree that the turnout was awesome at yesterday's event! That is one thing that caused a slow down was having to tech in all the trucks! The event moved along fairly swiftly once we got everyone paired up and going through the course.

If it is an issue on the food ordeal, why not make it a pot luck or bring your own supplies? But then again you would miss out on Skerb's BBQ!

In the few events that I have been to, the group that has been at all of them is more of a family than just a group of competitors. I think that it would be a mistake to try to change that as it is rare to get!

After thinking about it and re-reading all the post last night, I think we should keep it the way we have been doing it. One thing I think we should do is let Robert race for free considering all the hard work he does at every event with the videos. I am sure he spends a lot of time editing the videos to put them out there for us to enjoy. I personally think that he does and awesome job of it too.

To say that this Go Pro filming hasn't turned into a chore at these events would be a lie lol. I really like the fact that I can get shots of everyone's rig doing work in it's own kind of way. Luckily it is only $5 so I don't mind paying for an entry to feed the great cause! I am glad that people are liking the videos, thank you for the support.

Not to mention that you don't get much footage of your own rig lol!
