Default RC4WD Light Weight Super Bully??

Has anyone drilled or machined the gears on the light weight super bully axles?

These are like half the weight of their regular super bully axles, but the gears are solid and they do not offer light weight gears for these axles.

Would the gears be strong enough if drilled?

I did some for Stubs and he lost a TON of weight. I think he was a slacker on documenting how much he lost on them but you might bump his thread and ask?

I drilled mine with no issues.
I can't tell you what I lost just in gears.

I shaved gear cases, drilled gears and went with delrin tubes. Lost approx 150gr per axles.

Erik milled mine and did a couple other little tricks. If your doing them yourself I would expect around 0.7-0.9oz per axle in weight loss. I didn't look threw my tread but I'm pretty sure Erik got about 1.5oz out of each set of 4 gears! That's huge 3 whole ounces for the car is a lot of weight and rotating weight on top of that.
