Question How do I cut the steer stops on the Clod knuckles?

How do I cut the steer stops on the Clod knuckles to improve steering angle ?I couldn't find anything specifically on this ... I would like to know ;What tool to use and hopefully see pictures of how its done? Cheers!

u could use a pair of side cutters to take em off...then use a dremmel or some sandpaper to smooth it out

i have not done this yet...but will be in a few hours

u dont know what the steering stops are ...but u ask how to cut them?

ok...


there are little round nubs on the top and bottom of the spindals of the clod axles


clip them off and smooth them out

i didn't completly cut my stops off but i used a rotozip and grooved them to give me more turn

You should also cut off the 4 little knubs (steering stops) on each knuckle to increase turning radius. I use a pair of wire cutters or knips, but you can use a dremel tool with a cutoff wheel (use safety glasses) or any other means.

why ask?

turn the wheels all the way one direction and hold it up to your face to see just what is holding them back from turning farther! Then Cut, Grind, Sand, File, hammer, torch, however you want

because I wasn't sure which to cut the C's or the knuckles...

Just cut and grind the knuckles not the C's that way you keep all the strength of the C's.
