Default Junfac R1 Stealth Built Pictures

As previously mentioned I received my new clod chassis yesterday.

Have managed to get this built without any major problems.

Then only modification I have had to do is to remove a corner of my servo mounts so that it clears the bottom links.

Initial fears of no articulation have been quashed as you will be able to see as the shocks are mounted so as to lay them down the most.

Just need to fit the electrics and then hopefully the weather will be fine for the weekend.

Stats:-

WB = 16"
Centre Clearance = 4.1/4"
ESC = Tekin Rebel 2
Servo's Hitec HSC 5998 TR's front and rear
8 Tooth Pinions with Thundertech Motor mounts
Integy 65T/55T or 45T motors
Integy MSR4 shocks
Choice of LST's on Maximizer beadlocks or 40 series Moab's on narrowed beadlocks.

man, that chassis is sick. How is its weight? It looks heavy like a tube chassis.

Do those Maximizers fit the 40 series Moabs XL's?
From your pic it looks like they are the same size.

No, that is why I have a set of both. I couldn't wait for my narrowed commando's and shelled out for the maximizers and then found they just passed though the bore of the 40 series moab's :?

The hell with Body mounts. That thing looks wicked cool just like it is. I wouldn't dare strap a body on that. Gratz man on building one. This is the first I have seen of that chassis. I guess the saying that there is nothing speaking for my tax return yet this year is out the window now.

Slight problem with this chassis found last night.

Got all the electrics fitted and found I could not fit my battery pack in the space provided. I suppose that's what I get for running an 8 industial size cell pack.

The battery plate is secured inbetween the chassis rails by fixing to two 3/8" square bars. If I turn this assembly upside down so that the plate and not the bars are on the bottom I can fit the battery. This should also eliminate any hook up points.

I need a servo cable extension to be able to reach the receiver and then I'm ready to roll.

And for v33.....I have a sourced a set of silver integy's from one of my mates so it should look a bit better.

Roll on the weekend!!!

dirtoyboy, fit and finsh is excellent, I have had no issues with anything not fitting properly.

The finsh seems resonably durable, and is a nice matt black (anodised??) finish.

Hoping to try it on the rocks this weekend.

Did not manage to get out over the weekend as it lashed down with sleet/snow and I have not waterproofed the electrics so unfortunatley there are no pictures.

I am hoping I will be able to get out this weekend coming so am looking to get some pictures and video.

An update on the batteries....I purchased some slightly smaller diameter ones (3700mah) and packed up as a 12v pack the fit perfectly in the space provided.

As for delivery, I paid for Express delivery.
The Paypal transaction went through on the 1st Feb and I received it on the 6th.
