Default Asembled portals

I assemble the Portal axles the following pictures show the portal inside workings. There are 17 parts that go into one assembly. This portal is a direct bolt on; it uses all stock drive axles and mounting. The gear reduction is 3.333 to 1 with a 12 tooth upper pinion and a 40 tooth lower gear. I gained 13/16 ground clearance at the diff. I spent a lot of time designing these portals and I think they came out pretty good.

If you can produce these, you'll sell a boatload of them! Beautiful worksmanship!

Thats the beauty of electric motors. You can run a 2 gear portal. I love the look of those things. I've been working on an idea for some with one of the machine repair guys at work.

Can't wait to see those things workin.

Is that a TracGear inside of the portal?

Bolt on portals are looking great.

Wow, great work. I would love a full setup like that. Even if you sold just the portals to bolt up to stock Clod axles, you'd sell a lot I bet.

He said it in the first post, solid works to design, mastercam to transpose it to cnc, CNC to cut it all out. How much more info do you need?

Stuff looks awesome, I can't believe those little portals. Now you better drive it like you stole it. Don't make it a shelf queen like some many others would do. Since you have it all on CNC you can make more if you destroy something. But from the looks of it I doubt you will.
