Default nylint wheels + clod axles, have adaptors.. now what?

so has anyone ever run 1:6 Nylent wheels on Clod axles?

i have the adaptors. but what are you guys modifing to make them work? the adaptors? the wheels? the axle surround thing? all 3?

theres like 1 thread that sticks out. just enough to tease you but not let a nut go on and bolt right up....

id LIKE not to hack my axles, wheels or adaptors, which are all BRAND new.... but i dont think thats gonna be a possibility...:-(

if you dont mind modding the rims, you could drill five holes and mount the stock clod adaptors over them by bolting 5 screws, that is the easiest way to go without much modding and changing the drive shafts

i thought of that but theres no way to get teh nut on. even after drilling that outer ring on the wheel. the socket wont fit down the hex hole....

why not just grind off some of the adaptor than grind some on the hex off the back of the nylint rim? isnt there enough hex on the rim to sacrafice some? id dosent look like the whole hex on the rim is being used anyway

the rim would rub the axle surround/mud gaurd thingy.
but i think what im gonna actually do is grind off the shorter round part off the adaptor, then cut a circle out of the back of the wheel to allow it to clear the axle surround thing.

Like you have it in first post.

Just put the nut on backwards.
Not the best, but it works.
