have smaller tube on both sides of the center tube, stick some thick wire through and they'll act as guides. see i have the knowledge but i lack the resources. Last edited by clod booster; 06-27-2006 at 10:10 PM. |

The way you have your idea Clod Booster, it seems to me the middle part would be a very weak link. Two guide rods wont take much of a fall without bending compared to the drawer slider rcracer is using. Maybe three triangulated guide rods would work better, and it would clean up the design a bit. Your rig is very similiar to Ace's old build, but you built it as a stick design. Very cool and probably all kinds of fun to play with! |

the thing is i dont have any crawlers but the one that is being built right now, i just have this sort of infinite knowledge on rcs but i lack the resources to build all my designed trucks. i designed almost tis whole system within five minutes sitting at my computer.

Sounds like you need a job to get some money (aka resources). Then you can put your "infinite knowledge" to work!

Just brilliant , very ingenious, i was thinking i bought a 4 ch acoms fm radio, ch 3 has 100%-0-100% movement, ch 4 has 4 100% adjustable positions, that way you can have 4 different wb , what do you think |

until I can afford a 4 channel I will have to make due with the 3 channel. I ultimatly would love a 4 channel, would give me rear steering and variable on the wb. I was thinking about ditching the front chain drive for a ez-start from say a traxxas motor. I'm wishing now that I didn't give that stuff away, goes to show you never know what you have til it's gone. I have to get some parts together to sell so I can fund a 4channel. Worse case I could sell off my Blizzard. LOL

From the looks of the 2 videos on page 3. It appears to have a seperate tranny and motor on the frame rails. I'm not sure how he ended up hooking everything together.

Pretty ingenious......nice work. Bet you could do some crazy antics with the wheelbase changing if your mind and hands are fast enough :-) Jay |

Very cool rig. At the MWRCA comp there were a couple of obstacles that an adjustable wheelbase would have made quick work of. Might be worth trying myself if I build another comp crawler.

I wish we had comps in michigan, once it's done I might have to venture out to other states to see how it really does against quality rigs in rougher terrain than I have.
