Excuse my n00bness when it comes to electronics, but if this 'cutout' is connected to my 3rd channel, what happens to my rear steer when it is 'activated' for digs ?

I have been looking for a way to get digs on my clod without havng to go to a stick radio.

Cheers

You can't have both with a 3 channel radio. Unless you have you Servo's on a Y-Harness. You can pick up 4 channel stick radios pretty Cheap.

Isn't there at least one pistol style that's got 4 channels? I seem to recall hearing one of 'em had 4ch... Now to remember which one it was....................................

My experience is that the device has some internal resistence even when on which may magnify clodstall.

So are we saying that everyone that has digs is running a stick type radio setup ?

I checked out that Nomadio React - looks like I need a science degree to operate it ! I love the simplcity of my TQ3 (with indi rear steer), so something similar to that with 4 channels would be awesome ! Any tech gurus out there working on a TQ4

Well, I got the elusive part in yesterday! yea! However, I have been lost in TLT land and haven't started to set it up yet. (check my BMVii build thread)

Look for something tomorrow if all goes well here.

Only thing I can see at first glance is I will have to enlarge the holes to fit the motor wires outside the case....

Pics and info ASAP.

Shorty40 i have an acoms fm 4ch pistol grip i got from rcmart, the only thing is they haven't stocked anymore of them, it was somthing like $80 + shipping and it came with thre servos, this would be an awesome radio for digs, i have looked everywhere and haven't had any luck finding them on rcmart, only place i thibk had them was some hobby store in canada, the radio is an acoms fm 40 mhz 4 ch pistol hayabusha model.

Thanks for the radio help guys - I really wanted to stay with the pistol grip.

Apologies for the hi-jack Freq E Tag. But once I have the radio sorted I will be keen to see how this 'cut out' performs !

Red face

Well, alas, the idea that was... wasn't...

All was well, installed, dig awesome, no heat. Perfect. Then... wait for it... I hit reverse... hmm... was that smoke I just saw???

Ouch. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Maybe someone with an engineering degree knows why you can't reverse the current flow through the thing?

Just wanted to let you all know where it was at...

I had discussed a probable setup with Dez some months ago, it would require a small relay , obviusly power from either the esc bec or pack for the relay to activate and deactivate power to the motor, i will see if it works during the weekend, and i'll post the results.
