Why all that work on a comp rig, then you don't shave those case's??

Never really felt the need, I think placing a tire in the right place helps.

Mamba Max ESCs
E-Flite Power 10 outrunners

The servos and servo mounts will likely change, as will a few other things.
What did you use for spacers to run those knuckles with the RC4WD c's and not have the bearings pinch/bind?

I'll go along even though were hijacking.....

= rolleye's=whatever!

Every little thing helps in a build...otherwise why would people run knucklepacks, mount there servo's as low as possible, etc. etc..
Your probably a great driver, but not the best. So again every little thing helps or you would be competing in a stock clod.

here didn't use any spacers. RC4WD axle tubes and C's are smaller then stock.

I agree with this train of thought.

I haven't modded my gearcases because they may not be the cases I actually use.

Heck, I'm even going to change the kingpin screws to button heads.

I run raptors so I know that part. I mean a spacer to keep the bearings from binding from pinch or do those knuckles have that built in like the plastic/derlin bushings that come with RC4WD knuckles.
On the JP website it looks like the knuckles inset rather than having an area to just ride on the bearing.

I'm lost...which bearings on the knuckle are you referring to?

Kingpin or wheel axle?

Either way, there are no spacers. I took about 1mm off each kingpin boss on the Jp knuckles.

After that I used the RC4WD kingpin screw and bearing...done deal.

I also used both Jp bearings for wheel axle in the knuckle, omitted the outer bearing in the axle tube, and just used the inner bearing in the axle tube.

.
This is what I'm refering to. So can you fully tighten the kingpin bolt's or do they "pinch" the bearing?
Sorry, thought this would be a simple Q&A. The Derlin spacers that come with rc4wd knuckles keep you from pinching the bearing, i was just wondering if these had it built in. It would be nice if they did.

These knuckles aren't designed to be used with these axles.

If you trim the knuckles properly you don't need spacers and you won't pinch the bearing.

I couldn't help notice you have Alumn Hex's on those CVD's. Are those still left over from the older sets or the New ones that His coming out with?

Left overs he was talking about that earlier in the thread.

I have to say very nice rebuild so far, I to am in the rebuild process. I just dumped another $400 into my super to get it ready for nationals. Hate showing up with a new fresh truck that I haven't run a season with, but I need the hardware.
