Default Rebuilding the Stick

Tore apart my stick to scrounge up parts for another rig, time to get the stick back in action.

Parts:
TCS Stick (Black backbone)
TTR/MIP CVDs
RC4WD delrin gears
RC4WD axle tubes
JP knuckles
Mamba Max ESCs
E-Flite Power 10 outrunners
DX6
Airtronics 94359s
TTR BTA kit

The servos and servo mounts will likely change, as will a few other things.

I like the way you used JP's knuckles with the bearings on the RC4WD knuckles, smooth steering! I tried using just the aluminum tubes but the plastic centers tore out after a little while.

Yup, yup.

Just need to be sure to carry spare bearings for the kingpin to comps incase they fail.

I do have spares, and have not had one fail yet.....

To bad you can't run a link mount!

Motors are nuts.

I've stripped counter gears by driving full throttle then letting off...too much rotational mass combined with 100% drag brake.

Could get away with 100% Drag on the OG Revolvers...not with these.

5mm

I turned the output shaft down in the lathe so I could run standard pinions.

What tooth? Not sure.

I couldn't actually turn them down in the lathe, just chucked the shafts into the lathe.

The steel is so hard (basically a drill blank) that I couldn't machine it.

The trick was to use sandpaper on a file and a ton of patience to turn it down.

Then I had to do the 2nd one.

The first batch of TTR CVDs had the aluminum hex adapters.

Depending on the wheels/adapters I'm using at the time, I use the O-ring or a 10-32 set screw to hold the drive pin in place.
