Default Clod Bodies

I just bought a clod and it is coming moded. I really need a nice body to top it off. I would like to stick with a jeep rubi. I want it to look like my own. So where is the best place to get a Body for the clod. How much modifications will I have to do.

Are you running the Stock Clod body on a Stick Chassis?

Well the Clod body isn't a Ford. Ok I missed read your post. I saw stick and was thinking that was the chassis you choose. My Bad... post a pic of the chassis. Anything can be done. I'd look into the Lexan Clod Body. You can find it on Towers. That will keep the look and COG lower. Plus easy to mount.

Ok I know that chassis now... I think the Pro-Line long bed would be sweet on there. The Stock Clod body will raise your COG alot. Stick to a Lexan on body. If you want your own, just find a body that many don't use and paint it the way you wnat it.

Go on Towerhobbies.com.. Do a search for 1/10 Body... That will show you every 1/10 body they have. You can read all there spec's like wheelbase over all width and length. Pick a body you like that fits what you need.

I know it is common, but I dont know anyone that has a RC rig. Much less a rock crawler. Will this one lower my COG. The ford body is too high

I'd say to really lower your COG... Redoing your links and lowering the whole chassis is the best bet. The way your set up know. The Jeep body alone won't lower your COG. You can Slam the body on the chassis to help a little. That will give it that lower COG look. Don't be afraid to cut the body up. Look at some the Comp Sticks and Pimp Cane builds. Most cut the body up alot to be able to slam the body as low as possible.

You are a lot of help. Thank you. In order to "slam it" I would need new links. Is that all. I guess I need to wait until the truck gets here so I can measure the ones on it now huh. Will I need new shocks?

no No NO... You don't need new Links. Just move the mounting points. You have both links mounted in the same spot on the chassis. Look around at some other 4 link set ups. Your Upper link mounts on the chassis need to be moved up some. Then re mount you shocks. You can keep the shocks you have. Just move some things around and test things out. There are a few build in the Clod section with that chassis. Do some searching and see what you come up with. I believe CSR has that chassis right now.

a few pics of my new 2.2" comp rig

I would just lower the body all the way down and cut off what rubs. The high body really kills your performance. Some better tires would be a good next mod.

Yes as I had mentioned in my first post I have not gotten my truck yet. I have been trying to figure out what to buy so it will all get here close to the same time. Is it against the rules to post from ebay? I am new.
