Default Goat in CR-01

Just wondering if anyone is using a Novak Goat in their CR-01.
I have a goat in my axial and am wondering if the stock gearing on the Tamyia would need to be changed.
I am getting ready order my CR-01 and need to make a decision on the motor.

I do, brakes are incredibly strong, will nose over if your not carefull. Takes getting used to.

I have a 18m tooth Robinson Racing pinion in it, stock tamiya was 20m. I think it still is to fast and could be a good 2 teeth smaller.

Remember if you change pinions, this spur requires is a "metric pitch" pinion. If you put a standard 48 pitch in you'll eat gears.

Thanks for the replies.
I think I am going to go with the goat.
It looks like the Goat can wreak havoc on the drive lines.
Any suggestions for beefier drive lines for the CR-01?

Forget the Jato shafts. Since you're going "balls out", get these...

I run a goat and it is great, although as an earlier poster said, you need to watch the braking as it will just about flip over if you brake too hard.
