Thx

Changed the location of the winch to a better place. Also changed the position where the winchcable was connected to the plow. Added some weights to the plow for even better plowing. Will be changing the servo to a stronger one for the winch later and will also make a scale hook.

Made a plate for my new winch and mounted it to the crawler. Really happy with it but might redo the plate later. Also going to change the hook to a scale hook. Plate is 2mm aluminium so holds up fine

Also a video HERE

Cool!

I'm thinking how to make my plate too. I'm still waiting for my order to come. If you said you want to make another one, how are you going to improve this design? I think painting it black will be also better.

I will be painting mine black to "hide" it more but cant say its too noticeable anyways. The next version of the plate i am thinking will follow the lines of the bumperholders. Also got a plan to make a whole new front bumper out of alu. Got alot of alu plates and rods at home so just need to come up with the best idea

What do you think about mounting it on a Proline bumper?

See this on another thread:
Video of 3Racing Scale Winch

The good thing is it looks custom fit and super real. The down side is I don't how strong this bumper is when compare to the OEM. It seems offer no protection to the winch as well as the body........(also, it's pricey...)

You probably already got some pinion gears already, but Robinson Racing makes Hardened Steel pinions for Tamiya Pitch for a reasonable price. (Stronger, less expensive, run better and last longer than the Tamiya ones, and I believe they are American Made)

They work ok. Grip is good but would be better with wider tires in the snow

damn, nice truck!

how much weight did you add onto the servo in front ? rear ?

I think weight on the servo is a better idea that taking apart the wheels to weight them. speaking of wheels, I missed where you said what brand of wheels and tires ? Those wheels look great and the mud slingers look like soft compound .. do want.

edit - I trimmed the rear fender flares on my land cruiser body, brought the bottom of the flare straight back to the top of the flare on the rear. I hope that makes sense to ya, it fixed any rubbing I had!

I only got weight in the tires and not on servos . Cant remember how much atm but will check tomorrow. The wheels are alloy Rc4wd ones and the tires are mudslingers... Made a new vid now. Since we got dark this time of day i added a few leds( 6 ) to the truck so i can see some and it turned out ok. Posting new vid soon.
