I drive mine in the water, but not so deep that the electronics tray goes under water because I never waterproofed my ESC or receiver, maybe only 4-5 inches deep. I also have driven it in snow and the snow gets all over the ESC and receiver but its not enough to make them go bad.

You can always use traxxas waterproof gear.
