Some action in the yukon. Thankfully the throwers didn't break anything during transit. Man down! Someone bring a winch. I'm at the South end of McQuesten Lake! |

Brought the unit out to the field the other day. 3 old NiCad batteries didn't last long climbing the shale hills! The destination. A bit of a hike from the landing but well worth it. At the bottom of the hill Getting there! Part way up. Lots of side hill going on here....Many many roll overs. Last push to the top. Rocks were too big to go much further than this. Going down was much faster than going up! Near miss! Don't want to roll over going down. Taking the low road side hill 3 Batteries was just enough to get back. The route taken; the next challenge? Truck survived the climb and roll overs in tact but got clobbered by a steel pipe back at base when I left it at the fueling station....my poor roof rack took some damage. Cydog, I bought some GMP drive shafts since my front one is all macGyver'd right now. |

well documented! good call on the shafts, that pretzel will break soon enough. the distance shot was put into perspective with the route pointed out. great too see those aluminum parts getting some use.

Thanks! my current driveshafts are the 3racing units. I tried to shorten the front one due to some binding issues under full compression of both front springs. It works but I bargled it up a bit and it wont last. Also the yoke on the rear shaft keeps spitting its pins. I have to admit that there was a bit of cheating on some of those sections. I wanted to have battery for the return trip. Good 1.5 hours of fun none the less. |

on a long trail run (especially a constant climb), you gotta prioritize what sections you wanna run, it's no fun runnin outta power before getting back. what motor did you run.

Added a RTR SCX10 for the family. The Fastlane JK we bought our son last year for Christmas just wasn't cutting it. A little snow wheeling on a track we made in the yard. Had to get towed We were having a blast until the ESC on the Axial packed it in....We've had the truck 3 days and it didn't even last 2 batteries. Very dissapointed on that one. Turns out it is the same ESC as the Komodo so I've robbed some parts to keep my son wheelin. |

Spent some time making a front bumper. Painted and winch mounted. Also note the tow hooks. Just need some shackles to complete. Also spent some time on my son's rig relocating the battery and preparing for waterproof box. |

Yeah he's not fully aware of what he's doing yet. Thanks, the bumper is based on my 1:1 unit. |
