| Reinforced diff lock assembly, item 54108
Hi, The threads in the original diff housing stripped after I'd had the front diff locked and used it on a too grippy surface. So I purchased the reinforced drive shaft and diff lock hop-up option parts (item 5410 and a new diff housing. I've finally got round to assembling it this morning only to find it doesn't go together very well. The tolerances must be out or something as the part labelled "Diff lock B" will not fit the recess in the original housing. Has anyone else any experience assembling these parts? Dave. I've built 4 of them, all of the went together perfectly. If i remember correctly, I bolted parts A and B together, then put the assembly into the housing. That part is a snug fit, but I don't recall having to force it in any way. Might have to see where it is interfering and do a bit of work with a file. It will be worth it - all the slop will be gone when you get it installed. |
