what is is about crawler guys and Vaseline obsession? i use it to lube my diffs and a little bit on the tranny gears.

i don't use an antenna tube, i wrap the wire around a Lexan strip, which came from a body (and it might have been a different one from the ones i listed, so 38 maybe?). the antenna tube mounts i'm using to hold the shift pushrod (airplane style flex pushrod) and they came from the TLT kit so they don't count.

I would think that the Vaseline would be too sticky for lubing gears. Ive always used White Lighting which is a teflon based lube for my gears. I'll also be using the lexan strip method of mounting my antenna. Not like Im going to be very far from when I drive it.

Right now Im in the middle of mounting my electronics. Would be nice if I could find my ESC too. Oh well. Do you have a thread on your truck? Would love to see it.

Thought I would post a progress picture. I cut up some fiberglass to make mounting plates for the electronics. Not much left to do now.

Nope, thats how I got it. I was actually impressed with how well the machining was on the Bulu 2 chassis.

Nice looking rig. What wheels are those? They look great. I had a set of stick on weights that I was going to wrap around the inside of the rim but in my drunken sleepiness one night I glued the tires on BEFORE I got the weights home. Oh well, I have another truck that Im in the design stages of that these rims and tires can go to if I need to get another set. **Curses self**

the wheels are a combinations of two Duratrax wheels, centers fom the Maximum MT and rims from the Max ST.

So put the led strips on the backside like on a 1:1 rim.

It's funny how dog people like purebreds while crawler freaks don't.

Actually, with dogs, purebreds have a much greater risk of disease and other health defects...hmmmm....

I finally have all the electronics mounted into it and I should have time today to try it. Dont really have any crawl spots near here but at least I can test it out.

I finally finished my truck and painted up a body. Hopefully I'll be able to go out and get it dirty soon.

damn that looks good!

From what little I can see in the pics I think you need to lower it a tad. I would shoot for ~3" of center clearance while making your upper links as flat as possible. You are going to need your CG as low as possible with the bulu chassis.

Looking forward to crawling with you.
