Exclamation May I present my TLT10: "Anomaly" - Updated 10/12/05

Just thought I would share with you my truck. After coming to this site and checking it for awhile I decided to try my hands at building a crawler. It has a Bulu2 chassis and will get an Integy Lathe motor with a SR ESC. A Hitec HS 645 controls the steering. Im running Prolines 2.2 Moabs. Let me know what you think.

For more on this build go to my site: http://www.m2hobby.com

Nice rig man...
I just picked up a set of the 2.2 Moabs but haven't ran them yet. Have you had a chance to run them? If so how did you cut the foams or are you running something like bb's?
Sweet ride though man, nice job for your first time out, I've been into it for a while and mine is still in pieces.

The wheelbase is 12.25" and the shocks are an old sets of HPI MT rears that I had laying around that were never built so I decided to use them on this rig. I decided to try running without foams.

I'm most impressed with the name of it. Very clever. Hard to say sometimes too, it's perfect.

did you mean to say "anomaly"? as in, something out of the ordinary? that's speeled with two A's and one O. or is it a blending of anodized and molybdenum (although i don't see either on the rig)?

just askin'.

nice rig.

When you cycle through your articulation dose your axel shift side to side, and when you compress your suspension dose your axle roll front to back? I got to looking at mine yesterday when I was wheeling at my buddy's house and mine dose what I asked about and I'm thinking it has to do with my upper links, let me know.

My driveshaft does sway from side to side, not much but I do see it. As far as my axle rolling front to back, it doesnt do that. Not sure but I think it may have to do with the upper and lower links being closer to a parallel plane than as if I put the upper links above the servo.

And yes, I meant Anomaly. Im usually pretty good about my spelling but I was tired when I typed it.

Thanks, I thought of it after I realized I had parts from at least 4 different companies.

let's see...

1 TLT-1 axles
2 E-Maxx tranny, driveshafts
3 Revo pushrod links
4 Lunsford short Maxx links (Ti)
5 K&S aluminum chassis
6 Pro-Line 2.2 Moabs
7 Duratrax wheels & front shocks
8 Tobee Craft axle wideners
9 JR radio & steering servo
10 Hitec shifting servo
11 Sullivan shift pushrod
12 Castle Creations Mamba-25
13 AXI 2212/26 outrunner motor
14 Du-Bro steering servo horn and shift coupler
15 Parma Bronco body
16 HPI Savage rear shocks & Bronco body
17 Losi springs
18 Hobbico servo extension
19 HobbyZone 900 mAh 6-cell pack
20 Deans battery connectors*
21 BRP servo tape*
22 Kimbrough spur gear
23 Robinson pinion
24 GE zip-ties*
25 Prather wheel weights
26 Revell-Monogram scale details*

Yea youre stretching it a bit, I mean come on, counting the zip ties and double stick tape? When I counted my parts I was only counting the pre-made stuff that accounted for the main components of the truck. If you want to get technical then we’ll get technical and go so far as the count the pens and pencils I used to mark off the lines of where to cut the fiberglass. But Im not that anal so Ill leave that out. Shall we begin counting?

1. TLT Axles
2. Dynamite bearings
3. Stampede tranny
4. Bulu 2 chassis
5. Revo lower links
6. Associated upper links
7. HPI MT shocks and wheels
8. Hitec servo
9. Integy lathe motor
10. Racers Edge screws
11. Penguin RC fiberglass
12. Lunsford links for steering
13. Kimbrough Spur gear
14. RRP pinion gear
15. Proline tires
16. GP 1100 6 cell battery
17. JR receiver
18. Novak Super Rooster
19. Tobee wideners
20. Deans battery connectors
21. K&S aluminum sheet
22. Dubro screws and locknuts
23. GS Racing washers

That’s less than what you have however Im not counting my 2 bodies that I have for it, nor all the detail parts used for them. Nor am I using the zip ties to boost the count either or an alternate set of tires or hell, the servo tape. If I did, Im sure Id end up with more than you. Purebred, I think not.

dagnabbit! i forgot the Boca bearings throughout! that's 28. Pacer threadlock, 29. aha! some Great Planes hardware snuck in there, so 30. Alclad chrome on the Parma body, 31. an RCC sticker, 32. Pactra striping tape, 33. JB Weld, 34. Vaseline, 35. RadioShack solder, 36. haha, i win!

all BS aside, i like how you managed to keep your chassis all black & silver. looks sweet.
