You know how cool it would be to have a race series with solid axle, scale trucks? I'm talking high speed, jumps, narrow passage ways, etc...

When I was looking into getting a rally car, I was thinking of how they could physically stage a rally race. It wouldn't be that hard to set up like 4 courses, and have several races going on, timing the stages and adding the results.

OOH! Idea. If you've ever seen crossover rally races (2 cars, one track which overlaps at atleast one point so that each car will run each side of the course atleast once, and they race usually 1 lap. Can you imagine setuping up such a course with these trucks which included hill climbs, rough terrain, off camber turns, etc... That'd be a blast.

Default Hmmmm.....

If you think about it, a body will run you around $30 bucks, then paint and time to paint it. With the Bruders, for $40-$50 bucks you get a hardbody with just about as much detail as a guy could handle.

I have a local store here in Utah (it's a small Mom and Pop joint) that will order just the body for a fraction of the price if we get enough orders together.

Enjoy!

Very scale and too cool.

I wish it had leaf springs though.

But excellent work!

Thanks... Actually 2 shocks. If you noticed in the video the trucks would sway from side to side a bit. Neither of the trucks had dampers at that time. To eliminate the sway a bit, I'm trying out one damper on the front left and one damper on the rear right. this does eliminate that sway quite a bit. The sway/lack of damping, by the way, doesn't effect the preformance of the vehicle in an any way. I only added shocks to stop the sway because it bugged me to watch it sway back and forth.

Just found a local shop that carries bruder!! I've gotten real bored with my TLT crawler, so maybe this is the change it needs. There was a mercedes I saw that had my name on it. Price was $56, so I imagine thats about what it'd be with shipping, and this way I have control over breakage/choosing.

I was wondering if you had a better picture of where the panhard is mounted? The setup is real trick and is only missing unimog style drop down knuckles.

Hey guys, just thought I'd give you a heads up. If you have a TJ Max store in your area, they have these Bruder trucks. I just picked up a desert Unimog yesterday for less than $20. If they have parts missing they'll give you a discount. They had all these trucks, including two different style mogs. I didn't look at the price of the big trucks, but I'm sure they're at a reduced price compared to the online places where I found them.

Anyway, good luck finding them.
