Very cool!
Do both end pivot or just 1?

Looks like both ends do. Cool idea, had similar thoughts myself. My problem with the idea I had was keeping the center section level. It would just flop to one side.

Boths ends pivot and the links keep the center level.

Took another look at the pics... I will have to give my idea another try with the links redone. Cool idea!

I guess it will be the next GT before I can get some video. Don't have a camera.

It is complete. And I have one word. Impressive. It's very light, weight dist. is great, good GC from tire to tire and it out performs my last chassis set up. Just need to add 1 more cell to the pack. Going to use 7 cell AA pack for comps. and 6 sub C's for general crawling. I would suggest this set up for anyone who want simplicity and perfomance. I love it.

SHHHHH dont let the nylint crowd see this! this is essentially the same thing as 18th scale wally crawler set up.

now...cut holes in the hood and the bed....braze some shock hoops and find some really soft shocks to poke through the hood and that thing would look like a really cool scale baja truck.

Did you reply to the wrong thread? I don't think this looks like any Nylint out there.

i wasnt making fun of him...just didnt want the nylint crowd to get too big of a head. I got a chance to see his rig yesterday. didnt get to see it run, but it seemed like it it will do well. the center pivot three link is essentially the same thing as the nylint (with the shocks being the links on the nylint)

Its not a design i would use in a 1:1 at all, but i think it might work on an RC rig. It does limit flex, only because the links wont twist aroud the frame, but i think that can be overcome somehow....just have to think on it.

i just built one of these myself and then one for a buddy of mine. drove it and was immediately impressed with how well it does without shocks. the two that i built have a slight twist to em though, its a little orcrc secret that i dont wanna let outta the bag just yet

I still love the way mine performs. The only thing I had to do was fab up some type of spring setup to keep the chassis level and fight torque twist. This is what I came up with and it works great with no loss of articulation.

Nice one scruff... You took my "original" thought right out of my head (so much for originality eh?). Least I don't have to R and D it. You did that for me.
