Here ya go JeremyH and everyone else. I lied by accident though, I'm using a Traxxas gear.

Like I said there's not a whole lot of room left, but it fits. The camera angle makes it look a little tighter than it really is.

Just bought the 12 tooth pinion from Tower.

The pede tranny I have has metal bearings so just need to buy 20 - 5x11mm bearings for the TLT axles, right?

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGPN0&P=7

I'm running maxx sliders with plastic yokes on tranny and steel yokes on the axle. Whoops I'm running a 87T spur already not 84T. Rbgerrish took good care of me.

Yes, 20 5x11 is what you need. I've used plastic Maxx yokes on my TXT and 2 of my TLT's (including the Brushless basher above) and only had problems with one due to my stupidity. I ground it down too far on the back and the pin ripped through. Have fun grinding on those aluminum yokes!

You just cut the back off with the cutoff wheel. It takes all of a couple seconds to do it.

Rambuller, I am not sure how you got that to fit. My tranny setup is a bit different than yours (I do not have those slipper discs on the outside) and maybe that is the difference. I will snap a picture of mine in it's current condition and post it up here.

Yeah, I cant remember the name of the device that the spur gear attaches to, but here is my setup:
(click the picture for a large image)

It's a bad picture, but it shows how close the 84T spur gear comes to the yoke.

Jeremy, get an 87 and just put it on there. You'll be like "No Fing way is this gonna fit, but it does. I have Maxx yokes and mine fits.

Looking good Ace! Those yokes are a bit smaller than the ones I used. I might need step down to those. I have attempted to fit that 87T spur on with these yokes and it was a no-go.

J.H,

Traxxas part # 4628

Johnrobholmes,

After seeing J.H's Sw2 in action I knew I had to have one. The black finish on the chassis looks dope.

Are you using 3.3 Maxx yokes? I've gotten about 7 packs of the yokes I use and they're all the same. The only ones that are bigger are the 3.3 Maxx shafts/yokes I bought for my Emaxx. Why yours won't fit an 87 makes me ponder...

Don't think I'm ready for brushless setups yet. I just got my wife to speak to me again.
