Default CVD's anyone?

Has anyone heard the rumors of cvd's for TLT's? I have seen a couple of people "slip" on here and was wondering if the stories are true. I have broke 3 shafts since some of us have started building "Rockracers" and have seen many others do the same. I know some of you can get the inside scoop since you work in the R/C industry. So come on SPILL THE BEANS!!!

I've heard rumors from several companies.

If they make stronger axles I sure hope they make stronger ring and pinions, that pot metal just doesn't hold up.

If RC4WD made CVDs, they'd have a great package with their ring gear spool.

Its only a matter of time, it's something that needs to be done. Lock out axles for the rear to.

As of now I have broke every part of the tlt axle's except the R/P's, I have had the tiny screws that hold the diff together back out but I found it in time to save it. I have always run bearings and shimed them also, maybe that has something to do with it. But stronger axle shafts and better gears would be the shiat!

It definately needs to be done. We are very behind when it comes to these items. As the Europeans use them in their trials trucks and they get rediculous amounts of steering using CVDs.

Even if the steering was the same as a modded stock setup I would be happy, I'm mainly looking for more strength. I have modded mine to the very edge any more and one pin (on the axle) would not engage the cup and all the power would go to the one other pin and SNAP! Even more steering would just be a bonus!

It would definetly be the one of the most sought after pieces of aftermarket equipment available for use on a TLT axle.

somebody make some cvd's before we have a revolt
haven't companies realized that Tlt's are becoming more common than clods?

Yeah, but he is "planning" on breaking a bunch and is just trying to be prepared.

I waited for clod CVDS forever, they are a must for indoor clod buster racing, I have everything shaved down and it steers like a demon I definitely want to see these for TLTs, I made mention to Brad Pitt (VP of TTR) at the worlds, I told him he would make millions if he sold them here In all seriousness we need them badly, I mean shaving down the sub shaft is a huge inprovement but cvds are stronger and will allow for even more steering.

All right all right...

We are having CVD's for TLT's made as I type this. The production process has allready started. I do not have an ETA or a projected price yet, but it should not be much longer. Just so you know, we have been in line for this project for almost 6 months now. The reason for this is, they are being made by the absolute finest in the CVD business.

Brad Pitt! Man he is one lucky SOB, first he's a movie star, then he gets all these hot girls to marry him and now he is Pres. of TTR!
Like I needed another reason to think he's an A$$!

JK, I know they would be on intergallactic back order for about 6mo.s if they do end up making them.

I would love a nice pinion, I'm going with the rc4wd locker but I need a beefy steel pinion or something. CVD's would be nice though

the cvd's would definately be welcome, but i wonder somthing....for comps only 2wd steering is allowed, so with rear steering locked out, would you also run cvds in the rear? while im at it, i just got some fat rock c-hubs, with rear no steer should i put em in the rear also?
