Looks great! Love those clean welds

I am running the same shock setup on my tlt tuber, and I love it so far. And I did find that with to soft of a spring, one side would lift under load on steep climbs. Changing to stiffer springs fixed this, but limited the drop travel and flex. But there is zero torque twist with how it is setup now.

Looks good, but I see a couple changes I would think will make it work better.

1) Lower link mounts joining on to the body. From the pics, it looks like if you're sliding along the links, you're going to hit a hard unmoving bottom of the crawler. I'd say push the lower links down and keep them on the inside like that.

2) When do I get one?

That really looks like a great design, especially if they're going to be setup for mass production. I'm not particularly fond of the hood, but that's personal preference.

Hey Aaron can you make me one that's made of stainless & bare, I think the coloring of just the welds & heat would be sick.

Also, since the tuber specs are basically the same for super & 2.2, have you tried just putting the R2 trans in the original Hustler frame? Might work just fine & save time since you already have that in production.

That is how the 2.2 is set up. The chassis is the same except for the upper link mounts And the skid plate.

You are correct with the stock traxas links you do get hung up where the skid meets the link. The easyest way to address that problem is to run a bigger dia. lower link. Just like on the hustler. On my test vehicle I am going to build some out of probly 3/8 delrin and see how that does.

I would venture to say that either design could be adapted for a 2.2 clod.

Cool. I think that would work out well too. Great job on those. I might have to look at buying one instead of building a tuber myself. I've put it off a month now, what's another month or 2.

He's still working on it, I had a chance to drive it last week at a GTG. It drives really good but he needed a steering servo it was on it's last leg!
