Default Update

Ok, update.

I got the wedge installed and it came out really good, Installed the tranny, and I installed the drive shafts.

Electroncs are in, but I need to program the Mamaba and get the ESC to recognize the radio, and mess w/ the gear mesh. Cant seem to find a sweet spot?

Should'nt be to long and it will be on it's way back to it's owner!

Here are a few pics.

Nice pinion angle!

Hrm, bent angle aluminum? I wonder how it'll hold up to the bouncing stress in the back.

Not sure, I'm building this for another member and I had never used the 1400's.

I regularly use the 1200's and get 35-45 minutes depending on the weight of my throttle finger.

BTW, 1.5" angle alum works perfect for getting 4 mount holes top and bottom. Plus it leaves enough room to drill guide holes to get the screws next to the bend as well. I'll take pics tomorrow since I left my CF reader at work.

I hammered it out and drilled it all up since I said it looked cool in the other thread.

It's such a simple design, I don't know why everyone w/ a BM-V2 doesn't run one!

As if it didn't have a high enough breakover angle before, I'm already seeing a benefit to this driving around my garage.

Well then bevel the lower edges on the tranny plate!

Stock, mine would catch the front of the tranny plate or the rear yoke, no more!

It was originally put together for Harold Pressley (hlpressley). I ended up buying it from Harold. Harold wanted out of the hobby. I never ran it myself. Then Neal Cahill bought it from me. Hopefully the third owner actually get's to run it.

Neal switched it to Lipo and I snagged the 6 cell for my BMV.

The rig was going well though I think, I do believe he had a breakage of some sort today though.

The BM's were doing great today!
