I'm using the yellow container and the one with a hose. I turn the knob and light the torch end. I can crank up or down the fuel as I want.

Edit: This would be the one I use and this is the progress so far. I'm still looking for an oven for my powder coating kit.

That's a nice compact torch setup. Like the newb I am, I was picturing this huge tank and hose setup. That's not too bad at all. I could squeeze that into the garage somewhere. The chassis looks great so far. Can't wait to see it coated.

Man, I missed out on crawling with you guys again this past weekend! Birthday party overload. I swear I will make it next time. Keep up the good work man!

Lots of little steps later, and we have:

- Touched up here and there on the brazes. Cleaned them out a little more. They could have used more work but oh well
- Powder coated the frame
- Mounted up that sideways servo
- Made up panels
- Made up electonics mount (lexan with mounting points on the chassis)
- Redid those shocks. I went back to the old ones I had that were a touch longer. I didn't need the extra travel, what I did need were shocks that didn't leak all over the place. They made a huge mess on my work table.
- Axial beadlocks with 5oz of green airsoft bbs in there

On to the pic, then my camera battery died, so only one.

Sweet! I like it. Nice job on the powder coating. How are the Airsofts working for you?

On my bmvii, they work great. We'll find out on Saturday how they work in this truck. I won't have time to run it until then.

Can't wait to see it! I am thinking about the Airsofts. That was one of the reasons I got the beadlocks. I got the Ericksons, though, which don't need a lot of extra weight. Pretty beefy. Just by looking at them, I am assuming the Axials are a lot lighter.

I was very happy with this rig. I decided to run it at our comp last minute today. I placed 4th.

Keep in mind, 4th place was 1 point from the tied 2nd and 3rd and 9 points away from 1st. It performs wonderfully. I would probably redo the shocks and only put 3000 wt oil in. I was hurt by the lack of belly clearance, but it was wonderful for going over our bridge. The low down cog won me $5 off ColquitCustom405.

Seemed to work fine, the only problem I had at all was the fact that I didn't cover my rear links. They bit me in the butt on one obstacle, actually. I was doing better than anyone else up to that point and I pointed out on that course because of it.
