Default pimping "R2D2"

something new i'm gonna run this season. usually i paint all my trucks purple but decided on a different color this time, hope you guys like it.

pimp slap torsion chassis (donated, you know who )
R2 tranny
35 t lathe with super rooster (also donated, 2x )
narrowed rpm wheels with masher 2000's for bashing
aluminum beadlocks with moabs for comps
hitec 5955 servo
locked tlt axles with bearings
aluminum knuckles with tobycraft extensions
spectrum receiver
parma f350 body painted with fascolor pearl blue and a little mixing here and there.
custom "marblelized" paint job

all i have to say is this, i don't think i'll ever go back to a four link again. this chassis is just amazing and so fun to drive .

Man that looks KILLAHZ!!!

Nice job on the paint!

I agree on not wanting to do a 4 link setup after running a stick style chassis.
I liked running mine when I had it.

And body off pics?

Sunday's comp should be kewl to see!

I guess BTA steering is a lot easier to set up with the stick chassis. No links in the way! Try to get in a pic of that setup please?

wow, that thing is clean. I have been trying to figure out how to get the sides of the body to come in like that. How did you do it? How is it mounted?

Yeah, how did you do the boatsides?

Just heat it up and bend it on a table or something?

You can just fold it and crease it where ya want it then more or less for how you want it to look.

got some pics of the BTA and how the body is mounted. the body is mounted by two body posts, one in the front and the other in the rear (under the bed cover). it has a "shake" effect when crawling, got the idea from young version and dtp........ . i love the BTA, works wonders. cleans up the whole front of the axle, no more hooking up on things. to make the boatsides was easy. just bend the lexan where ever you want it ( i did mine on the body line since it has a crease on it already). no heat required. like i said before, this chassis is the bomb! after the past crawl sessions with this truck, i definately will not go back to a 4 link again. this thing crawls unreal and the side hilling is amazing. hopefully i'll do alright in this coming weekend's comp, it's not the truck i'm worried about, it's my driving. thanks for all the compliments......
