Cool concept, not new though. Scruffs been running one for almost a year. Works good, looks like theres a lot of tweaking to be done on yours. I can see some things right off that need to be changed but i dont wanna give away scruffs secret just yet, he's at the top of our leader board this year and he'd be pretty mad if i blew that for him!

Thanks for the complements guys. Well I had some family stuff come up this weekend. But I did manage to just now finish adding all the electronics and it's running... WELL! aside from the crappy TQ3.. I'm going to have to play with the suspension a bit to get it to where I like it. Right now it's acting like a torsion (with a twist) so the articulation is limited and not really in a bad way, but not the way I like it. BigRed-Just went back and searched and found scruffs build and they are similar.. R2J - I'm liking the 4" GC after testing it on the couch. I can climb a 85* incline up and over the cousions and it will teater at just about 90*... I'll be taking it to work to test it out and hopefully take a little video before I start playing with the suspension set up. |

Why not run 2 shocks like the TCS stick chassis? Since the chassis is so light. It really wouldn't need 4 shocks. That would save money also and material in shock mounts. |

I'll test out a two shock set up while I adjust the suspension. The material will always end up with 4 mounts because the middle cutout section is turned into the shock mounts. So customers will have the setup they choose. 2 shocks or 4 shocks. ;) |

OK after sending this to Grover for a bit and he told me what he'd do I had to agree cause well that was the only way to go. By the way Grover is awsome at explaining stuff. Real inteligent person. Anyway. Also the testers haven't received their chassis' yet because of some of the same changes noted here. To fix the Axle steer I moved the links to the middle of the chassis and it works like a charm. I was affraid the links would hit the upper "link" things but after it was all set up it barely touches. NOt only did it fix the axle steer but it lowered it to around 3.75" The only real down side to my changes is the fact that all I have are 4" shocks and since the body mount is on the shock mounts the body sites a little high. But I have a fix. Ordered a set of 2 60mm and 80mm from run2jeepn so I can set up the rest of the testers with shorter shock mounts. and test the two to see which will work best. I also found out my axles are starting to get a little play in them, but I don't have time to tear them appart and relock them so they will stay as is till next week. Enough babeling and onto some pics. Dig (almost done) Articulation I've never done this before but... I'd like you to meet Bullet Hole (Bullet for short) OFFICIAL TEST LID! I've used it for every test that I've done or built (with the exception of tubers of course) I name it Bullet because of all the different mounting holes in it. . I will also try to post a Video later tonight if time allows may be unedited and no music.? |

I like the voice of god cameo, "Your stompin' " The truck is pretty cool too, still seems a touch top heavy though. Maybe add some weight to the tires. |

Doing that tonight. Still debating on wheather or not to even bother with the foams or just go straight plastic bb's? EDIT: I also need to figure out what the hell is up with my TX &/or RX. I have to stay on top of it, then when the truck gets either to sideways or to vertical it won't get a signal untill I put the antenna like 5-8" away from it? anyone have any ideas. I'm allready saving for a spektrum or similar quality, but need something in the mean time. Thanks Last edited by Double J; 04-12-2007 at 02:33 PM.

Yeah I was having a hard time cause these tires wouldn't grip a spiked heal to get to the glory hole on a good day. Then I'd get in a position to drive out or prevent a rollover and it wouldn't get a signal. Next time I drive it, I'll be like a 4 yr old, touching the truck with the antenna 2 feet behind it.

Yeah they look nice but don't hook up on these rocks verry well. I'll probably put them on my next scale rig though. Finished the dig last night around 2am after I did some other work in the shop. Not the best break but it works. I'll get pics later today. |
