Default 'Pede tranny in a stock chassis?

Anyone modified the stock chassis plates to run a Stampede transmission? I know people like building from scratch on this forum. I just see a lot of stock chassis sets available for cheap, and think of the possibilities with all the direct bolt on components that are out there.
