| Well, my Stampede came in... (56K Warming)
Well, my Stampede came in today, so I ripped it apart and looked at it for a while. I ended up grinding the tranny down enough to not have to widen the chassis. I was also abl to get the gd600 in there too! I also went on and hacked 1" off of the bottom. I am also making good use of the hacked up Stampede body! Now am am waiting for the Yokes to come in so that I can put the shafts in and run it. NO MORE SLIPPING BELT!! YAY!!! Here are the pics... |

I like it, keeping it narrow was a good idea for sure... And way to get the spur gear in there like it was meant for it!

Cool truck- I dig the hacked up body! Just a thought though- I dont think you'll need the GD600 in there. We've found that standard low stampede gearing offers plenty of crawl with plenty of wheelspeed. Unless, of course, you aiming for super low gearing, then by all means go for it! ryan |

Well, I'm gonna give the gd600 a try. I am running a 27 turn motor, so I have lots of motor RPM. The only other thing that I want to do is make some new upper axle mounts and triangulate the upper links on the axle side. This will also allow me to get the upper links a little more horizontal.

Man that thing is nice. Is that a tlt chassis? I got a stampede for Christmas and was thinking of doing something like.

Man that is a NICE truck. Nicely set up. So let me get this straight u didnt have to widen the chassis. Right. Also what are the turnbuckles (upper and lower) that you are using? Plan on doing the same thing you did with my TLT. That thing is a bute. Also how did u lock the diff in the stampede tranny?
